Abstract
The phenomenon of global digitisation has given birth to an age of technology disruption. In particular Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms have enabled more efficient use of systems working in relationship with the physical environment. Malaysia as a nation has placed great emphasis on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in manufacturing. This aligns with the global Industry 4.0 blueprint which encourages factory operations to leverage automated platforms. Talent in software programming capabilities in Malaysia is highly sought after to deliver such systems. Spearheading the growth of AI technology across the region are High Technology Start-up (HTS) companies which are highly dependent on the knowledge of foreign workers to fill the talent gap and accelerate the development this technology.
