Abstract
Corporate politics consists of individuals or groups who play the corporate game to advance their own ideas or themselves despite the outcome for others. To explore and highlight the impact of corporate politics on employees, an online questionnaire was generated from existing peer review articles, and administered to 205 participants working for industries in the United States. The findings could contribute to transparency in corporate politics, allow key managers to reward based on performance instead of preference of one's culture, and allow corporations to make efforts of minimising and discouraging politically related events.
Key words
Corporate politics, politically savvy, clique, cultural background, dominating culture
