Abstract
Pollution is one of the critical issues in the world today and Malaysia is no exception. One area in which this study is trying to establish is the behavioural intention of managers of various industries in the country to help reduce illegal disposal of toxic and hazardous wastes and promote environmental corporate social responsibility (ECSR). The study made use of an established Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) propounded by Ajzen (2005). Besides the three constructs – attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioural control – antecedents of behavioural intention, as explained by Ajzen, the author of this study is introducing a new independent variable of certified environmental training that may influence behavioural intention. The study used quantitative approach and try to measure the relationships between the variables through survey questionnaires. The findings from this study showed whether this certified environmental training has a positive relationship with the industry managers' behavioural intention to reduce land and water pollution with toxic and hazardous wastes.
Keywords: Land and water pollution, toxic and hazardous wastes, attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioural control, certified environmental training
